Design and Decoration Ideas

1st Meeting: September 7
We meet for the first time to explain the event and wait on the Lord for direction.
Notes from prayer time:
Ideas shared:
New Developments:
Bethany Schumacher is praying about creating a "House of Encouragement" (as opposed to a Haunted House) themed after a Mid-Evil Castle.
Notes from prayer time:
- Psalm 46:1 - "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
- Ephesians 2:8 - "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God."
- Fear not, be strong and courageous
- Proverbs 18:10 - "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe."
- God is our Help
Ideas shared:
- Question about budget. "Church willing to pay for what seems reasonable to make a nice, high quality event."
- Game with bricks tumbling
- Maybe bricks labeled with words like "doubt" "fear" "sin"
- Maybe a "safe tower" that kids can go into
- Question about meeting times and places. "Interest Form" will collect everyone's availablity
- Question about size of the event 60-80 kids plus parents
- Idea of making "book marks" with verses on them
- Idea of a "Hay Ride" someone has connections to make it happen
- Advertising will be via personal invitation and fliers
- Probably will be held inside the church unless there is a compelling reason to do it outside
